Hey Everyone!
It's been 3 years since I moved to Denver, and I’ll admit, I’ve neglected this page a bit. But I'm hoping to post here more consistently from now on!
When I first moved to Denver, it was for a work opportunity, and I’ve been blessed with some crazy, fun adventures ever since. I've met so many wonderful people, and I still get to let my creative side flow by baking for events and friends.
Speaking of baking, the latest adventure comes with a hilarious (and slightly cringeworthy) dating horror story from my sweet friend. She went on a date to an all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ, but here’s the kicker: she had recently fractured her leg, was in a brace, and was on crutches. She set the scene by saying, “the date was mas o menos.” (For those of us who know what that means, it says it all.)
As the restaurant closed, they decided to go somewhere else. They hopped in his car and headed to Starbucks. But here's where things took a turn: she started feeling some “stomach issues” (you know the feeling!). Needing to find a bathroom ASAP, she asked her date to go to Starbucks, but—of course—it was closed.
Determined, they pressed on, and she asked if they could stop at a 7/11. The cashier? *Not helpful.* "Sorry, we’re cleaning," he says. We've all been there, right? When you absolutely NEED to go, but no place will let you in. It's like that moment after a Taco Palenque run... you're on a mission. For her date, it was just a quick "ti**le," but for her... well, let's just say, I *felt* that in my soul.
After what must have been the longest drive, they finally land at the International House of Pancakes. And yes, the bathroom was open!
So, all of this just to give you the backstory on this cake. A cake for a girl who *finally* made it to a bathroom after the longest date of her life!
**Happy Birthday, sweet girl!** 🎂
You survived the adventure and still made it through with a smile (and a cake). Enjoy!
