It’s been a crazy two-weeks since the Merc was seized, but through the ups and downs, we’ve been having fun along the way. Thanks to everyone who joined us on the continuing “Swing Nights’ Mercury Cafe On Tour!” It’s nothing without YOU!
On Sunday, April 19th, the Max Moore Quartet was amazing, and it was so fun dancing at Stanley Marketplace. The Denver Biscuit Company was awesome, and gave all our dancers discounts. Thank you Meg, LaSheita, Clay, Bethany, Women Who Charge, and Denver Biscuit Company!
On Tuesdays, Denver Comedy Underground was so gracious to open up their space for us, and they have the friendliest staff ever. They made Jazz Lemonade for us, with mint! Please go support them and see a show, or try out your stuff on a Wednesday open mic. Thank you Ben, Jacob, and Dave! Thank you DJ’s Brittney, Mari, and Kat! Thank you Skye for an awesome April series, and Bethany and Rebecca for all the behind-the-scenes support!
On April 26th, we all went up to Ned General in Nederland. Beautiful place to land, and with Jeremy Mohney playing, it’s like paradise. We celebrated Jeremy Mohney’s birthday at the end, with a cake that Ned General baked. Jeremy had to listen to us sing! We love you Jeremy!! I imagine everyone would recommend Ned General’s freshly baked cookies, because we kept buying them up, and they kept making more. I hear you can get them at Gold Hill Inn in Boulder as well. Check them out!
We DO have a new Tuesday Lindy Hop series coming up in May, and I’ve got two words for y’all: wood floors! STAY TUNED for the reveal of the Tour’s next location, and let’s keep swinging out!
If you want to help, the best way is to come to a dance, or to a class, or both, and bring all your friends! Take time for yourselves when you need it, and THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT!
