Pound cake feels like a cozy trip down memory lane. Grandmas handwritten recipes, potluck gatherings, all the classic vibes. But grill it until the edges are crisp and caramelized, then top it with sautéed plums and their bright magenta juices. Will it be the Meadow, or the Lark?

Meadow Burger~
A meatless, whole grain, nut and vegetable burger grilled to a crispy brown, nestled in a buttered, toasted DLM golden hamburger bun, slathered with mustard-mayonnaise and topped with lettuce and juicy, marinated roma tomato slices, Just say the word and we’ll substitute olive oil and vegan-naise for the butter and mayo to make it vegan.

Lark Burger~
Good, coarsely-ground beef seasoned with red wine, minced onion, coarse salt and fresh rosemary, all of which enhance and juicify the burger. Served on a buttered, DLM golden hamburger bun with white cheddar, mustard-mayo and lettuce.

It’s National Zucchini Day, and our kitchen looks like an Ohio summer rainbow 🌈
Crates of zucchini, peppers, patty pans, cucumbers, and eggplant just rolled in from our local farmers. This is the time of year we live for!
We’re lucky for Ohio’s summer harvest, and even luckier for the hands that grow it. The work, the early mornings, the care, you can taste it in every bite.
