3 years ago, I toured my very first food truck.

And get this... it was already a vegan food truck. 🌱

It wasn't the one, but it was the ONE that made me believe Wasted Vegan could be real. 💪🏾

Today, we celebrate Juneteenth: the day when the last enslaved people in Texas learned of their freedom, more than 2 years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed.

We honor the resilience, strength, and contributions of Black communities, while reflecting on the ongoing pursuit of equality and justice.

Food Truck Journey Update: drove over an hour to see a food truck that had no VIN, sketchy paperwork, a title from another dimension, and scammer energy 🚫🙅🏾‍♀️

The food truck Gods said “NOT TODAY”❗️

But the right Wasted Vegan truck is out there waiting for me — fully legal, fully real, and ready to become the future home of chaotic vegan food, late nights, and parking lot therapy sessions 💚🌱

Memorial Day began with people honoring sacrifice the only way they could — with flowers, remembrance, and community. 🇺🇸

In 1865, freed Black men and women in Charleston gathered to properly bury fallen Union soldiers and honor their lives. That act of remembrance helped shape what we now know today as Memorial Day.

Today we remember. Honor. Gather. 🌱
