Hope’s Helping Hands will have a feature article in this week's Cynthiana Democrat.
Back in June of this year we received our 5th grant from the Kentucky Colonel’s totaling $8,103.80.
We put those funds to good use serving our community. Between June 24th and August 17th we were able to serve 728 families here in Harrison County. Within these families the grant helped us serve the following.
- 1,943 individual residents
- 560 were under the age of 17
- 905 were between the ages of 18-59
- 453 were over the age of 60
- 35 came to our food bank for the first time
- 24 were unhoused members of our community
If you know of anyone that needs a little help feeding themselves and/or their families, we are open every Tuesday and Thursday from 11am-4pm (exceptions for the 5th week of the month).
The only requirement is an ID, proof of address (if your ID reflects an old residence) , names and date of birth for everyone living in your house.
Please know everyone behind the scenes are community members that volunteer their time to help us make this possible.
