"One Last Ride"

Today marks our final ride on the ice cream truck.
We’ve officially sold the truck and all equipment to new owners.

It’s a bittersweet moment for our family, but we’re genuinely excited for what’s ahead.
The new owners are local and plan to continue serving ice cream along with some new offerings.
I won’t share too much just yet, but keep an eye out for an official announcement from them soon.

On a personal note, I want to thank each of you for an incredibly fulfilling four seasons of “serving up smiles.”
We hope we’ve created lasting memories for our customers, just as you’ve made this journey so meaningful for us.
We’ve had the privilege of meeting so many wonderful people, and we’re truly grateful for your support over the years.

We encourage you to continue supporting the new owners. Local businesses are the heart of our communities, and they bring the same passion and drive that we had when we started. It will be exciting to watch their vision come to life.

Thank you again, from the bottom of our hearts. We hope we’ve left you with great memories from our time serving you curbside.

Announcement from the Owner:

To Our Clay City Ice Cream Family,

After much thought and consideration, we have made the difficult decision that the 2025 season will be our final one.
This decision was not made lightly, and there are several factors that contributed to it.

From the beginning, I’ve always said I would continue as long as it remained fun and rewarding—and while it truly breaks my heart, I feel that time has come to an end. Rising costs, including multiple price increases, insurance, and other operating expenses, have made it increasingly challenging to maintain the business in the way I believe it should be run. Additionally, I have taken on a larger role in my full-time career, leaving me with less time to dedicate to this business without sacrificing valuable time for myself and my family.

I want to be perfectly clear: this business has not failed, and neither have I. Clay City Ice Cream has been successful and deeply fulfilling. However, it was never intended to be a full-time endeavor, and it has grown to require more time and energy than I can reasonably give.

Since launching in 2022, we have been incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support from our community. Our goal was always simple—to bring a bit of nostalgia and joy to neighborhoods and families. When we started, we were the only ice cream truck in the area within an hour’s drive. Since then, competition has increased, and while we wish everyone the best, our focus was never on competing—it was on connection, community, and fun.

Looking ahead, the truck and all equipment will be offered for sale as a complete package by Spring 2026 (or sooner if there is interest). The vehicle’s identifying graphics will need to be removed prior to sale. It’s a great setup that could easily transition into a food truck or other mobile business opportunity. Serious inquiries are welcome.

We’ll also be selling off excess inventory after offering it first to friends and family. Any remaining items will be announced at a later time.

To everyone who has supported us, thank you for helping make this dream a reality. We’ve met so many amazing customers and created lasting memories along the way. It’s been an honor serving you, and we hope we’ve brought a little sweetness to your days.
