After sleeping from 6:30pm Saturday to 1pm Sunday, I'm ready to post. I didn't win it all this year but we placed, despite almost being a no show, and having rush to get there because Jessica Brown refused to let me quit. Her & my sister Elizabeth Brown helped me get my head in the game, & my new friends from Toes In The Sand Bbq Cindi Goshorn & her husband Leighton kept me company & from thinking about the bs prior. The butts turned out amazing, probably the best I ever cooked & the ribs were spot on as well. This was challenging bc this was only my 3rd competition & this was the first time two proteins had to be cooked & turned in 30 minutes apart. My boi Omar Sabr showed up out of the blue about 9am & was a big help. He was a blessing sent by GOD bc I was stressing & he came through in the clutch. All in all this was a fun time & they always say, GOD will put nothing on you that you can't bare. Even though Jessica kept telling me, I look like I can fall out at anytime, I made it & it made me stronger. I made some new friends, & my bbq reached some new people & possibly got me some new customers. 4th isn't what I wanted but I thank GOD for it & I want to thank everyone that came out & voted for us. Because if it was left up to me Friday, I would have missed out on a lot of future blessings!!!
