ShareLoveFood

ShareLoveFood Share the love through homemade food. We prepare fresh, delicious meals for your family to make dining at home a convenient, wholesome pleasure again.

We all love to share love through food, and I have built a collection of unique flavor combinations and re-worked classics that are hand-approved by the friends and family they were inspired by; it's a menu that's ever-growing and rotating, reflecting the new people, personal requests turned favorites, local events, and seasonal offerings we share and love every day.

To my Foodies:
It has been an amazing 5 years. We've really done it all! Started with desserts, then small scale catering, and on to private events, workshops, and in-home appointments. I cannot express all the love I have for this wonderful community.
As we look forward to the future, we see bright possibilities. In the coming weeks, SLF will be winding down, but I encourage you to keep your eyes peeled for the next project from our amazing team. We plan to outdo ourselves this next go-round.
In the mean time, I truly hope that you continue to Share the Love through your Food every single day.
Thank you and lotsa love,
Lauren @ Share.Love.Food.

We use slow cookers so often, sometimes they get a white film in the crock that won't go away with normally scrubbing. Next time you notice that build up, try this:
Put 6 cups of water into the crock along with 2 cups of white vinegar. Slowly add baking soda, 1 TBSP at a time, until all fizzing stops. Then, turn on the heat (High) and wait 2+ hours. Let cool a bit, then use a long-stemmed brush to gently scrub the crock. Dump the liquid and then wash & dry as normal.
The yucky white film will be GONE! Your crock will look like new.

This was an awesome Pinterest find. Simple enough to throw together in a rush, impressive enough to serve to a crowd! And featuring our pal, the slow cooker.

Smoothies are a great way to get in a healthy & hearty breakfast without much time or work! Make it even easier by preparing smoothie packs ahead of time: Freeze spoonfuls of yogurt on parchment sheets, then combine with frozen fruit in a baggie and store in the freezer. In the morning, dump the contents into a blender with a splash of juice or almond milk. Voila!

Roasted Corn Salad is the best thing you can bring to a cookout! It's great as a side dish along with weekday entrees too!
Recipe:
1 bag Frozen Corn Kernels
2 Fresh Red or Orange Bell Peppers, chopped
1 large Fresh Red Onion, chopped
1 bag Frozen Shelled Edamame or Lima Beans (depending on preference)
3 TBSP olive oil
Salt & Pepper

Toss all ingredients well. Spread out in a metal baking dish and broil (or grill) until edges begin to char and vegetation shrinks a bit.
To serve, add a dollop of your favorite creamy salad dressing (Avocado Ranch is a common fave) and mix well. Delicious warm or room temp.

Who else goes crazy trying to get rid of fruit flies? This DIY trap is great and no mess.
First, take some ripe fruit and put it in the bottom of a small, disposable glass container (this one has green grapes and they're smooshed up a little).
Then, pour some apple cider vinegar over the fruit until barely covered. Add a few drops of fruity dish soap (this one has Orange Ajax) and cover the jar with a coffee filter or piece of paper towel.
Poke holes in the cover with a skewer or toothpick. Don't make them too big! Just big enough for teeny little fruit flies to enter.
Set your trap near your fruit basket or by the kitchen sink, where fruit flies tend to hang out. Within hours you'll find your first baddies sinking to the bottom.
When they're all gone, pitch the whole thing. Easy-peasy!
