Fluffy and soft, these Hotdog Wool Bread Rolls are perfect for breakfast or a snack, with a savory hotdog wrapped in a pillow-soft bread.
Ingredients:
3 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar
1 packet active dry yeast
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup warm milk
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 large egg
8 hotdogs
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Sesame seeds for topping
Directions:
In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Add the warm milk, melted butter, and egg, kneading until a soft dough forms.
Cover the dough and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Punch down the dough and divide it into 8 equal portions. Roll each portion into a long strip and wrap it around a hotdog, creating a wool-like pattern.
Place the rolls on a baking sheet, cover, and let rise for another 20 minutes.
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Brush the rolls with the beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and fluffy. Serve warm.
