Today was the last day of school for my youngest of four daughters, Friday night she'll graduate and it's such a bittersweet feeling. While I'm sad, I'm also really excited, not only for her, but myself included. I sometimes joke with people that I'm tired, I've been parenting for 32 years, Carley was heading off to preschool when my oldest daughter graduated high school. Not that you ever stop parenting, but there's something to be said about getting there to the finish line.

I'm trying to play catch up as I was out all last week sick, come to find out, I had walking pneumonia. So day 3 of antibiotics are making me feel like a new woman. So I'm playing catch up, graduating my last child, catering graduation parties and preparing to host & cook for my own party then college orientation. My next 10 days are going to be busy.

Then there's June and wow, it's going to be a jam packed month!

I hope you all have a nice weekend although the weather isn't looking ideal with a chance of rain Sat/Sun (like we need more rain up here😏) but starting Monday it looks like summer might arrive.

We catered for a lovely baby shower this morning. I wish I would have gotten pictures of the decorations because they were so cute!

My buddy Cole and I loading up tonight’s dinner of Swedish meatballs & egg noodles, roasted vegetables and garlic bread sticks. Gluten Free guy got baked salmon, roasted veggie and quinoa.

When I asked Cole how dinner was he said FANTASTIC!

Tomorrow nights dinner is BBQ baked country style ribs, homemade baked beans, cheesy potatoes and garden salad.

Guess what?
This is the only picture I snapped of the lunch we prepared for the DNR 🤦‍♀️
Build your own taco rice bowl with taco beef & chicken and all the fixings.
3 different groups stationed in the area, each had their own bag/hot box .

Now to take an hour break then start prepping for tonight’s DNR dinner, a prom at the COPESD tomorrow for lunch, another DNR dinner Friday night and a lovely baby shower on Sat.
To be fair, Doniel did want to take a picture with me and my DNR contact.

Anyone in need of a packed lunch today? I have extra chicken salad wrap, turkey & swiss, or ham & provolone, with pasta salad, either an apple or cutie and a homemade chocolate chip bar up for grabs. I'm dropping the DNR's order off for 11:30 and can meet back at the kitchen.

When the DNR calls you and asks you to make lunch for all the workers, you jump to it and make a plan.
Bagged lunches are being delivered out into the fields; like the Alverno Dam & Cheboygan Dam and the rest to the operations center.
Turkey & Swiss, ham & provolone and chicken salad wraps, pasta salad, fresh fruit and a chocolate chip cookie bar.
