When we first got the Sticks truck, back around 2008 or so, it was very sweet, covered in cartoon characters that had seen better days. Which was fine, since it was perfect for handing out pre-wrapped ice cream treats.
But now–we’re calling on Sticks to work two jobs. (Such is the way of the economy nowadays, right?)
Yes, Sticks is still a novelty ice cream truck. But it’s also…
(...wait for it…)
The country’s first MOBILE CRAFT HOT SAUCE VENDOR!
We’ll be stocking and selling small batch hot sauces right from the truck. You’ll be able to sample and purchase hot sauce made by ARTISANS, not Big Box retailers. And although our inventory will change as sauces come and go, we’ll always be offering sauces made by our sister company, Dancing Pepper Hot Sauce. So be sure to ask for a sample of our Bachata (chocolate/bourbon/habanero) or Merengue (pineapple/basil/habanero) sauce if you see this truck around town.
Painted by local artist Nome305, Sticks is now a one-of-a-kind mobile work of art. Poor Nome, we tasked him with the impossible…make it suitable for ice cream, and for hot sauce! How in the world do you do that??? But we love what he accomplished! More info on Nome will be available on both SticksAndConesIceCream.com and TheHotSauceTruck.com websites in upcoming weeks.
Sticks is available to be booked for ice cream events, or pop-up, farmers or artisan market events selling hot sauce.
Over the course of the summer, we’ll be building up our social media presence and booking events. And soon, we’ll be making a big announcement, so please Like and Follow Sticks’ alter ego page at The Hot Sauce Truck to find out what’s going on and where we’ll be.
We’re looking forward to serving you cool…and hot…stuff!
