Happy first day of school!! Hope school is kind to all our little ones 💗
I swear, no one was more excited than me for the kids to go back to school, I could finally be my own person again.
It was fun making their lunches, picking out their outfits the night before and planning how the girls wanted their hair done. Then it came time to walk them into school and my heart sank.
I think it was harder for me to let their hand go than it was for them. They were so excited and they started to get nervous. I didn’t want them to catch on to me and my mixed emotions so I put on a smile, gave them the biggest hugs and walked them to their class.
It’s so hard letting go, I can’t image the moms whose kids are off to high school … even college! I can’t image this feeling ever goes away.
My heart goes out to every other mama who had to put on a tough face and had to let their hand go! I’m even crying as a type this. No one told me how hard it was going to be!!! But I’m glad the kids get to make friends, learn new things and become their own person in this big world!!
So happy first day of school to all the kids … and all my fellow mamas 😭💗
