•Washington Leadership Conference•
On June 16, 3 of our chapter members flew to Washington D.C. for the National FFA Washington Leadership Conference, also known as WLC. Charlee Dugger, Madeline Rosentreter, and Hallee Kaburick thoroughly enjoyed all 3 days of the conference. At WLC, each student made a Leading to Serve Plan which they will implement this fall to show leadership within the community.
Here is a little recap of each day:
• Tuesday, June 16
- Flew in to DC in the early evening
- Attended sessions 1 and 2
• Wednesday, June 17
- Attended session 3 and 4 in the morning
- Sessions 5 and 6 were immediately following lunch
- Walked with the conference on the Night Tour and saw a variety of monuments
• Thursday, June 18
- Traveled to the capitol and took a picture on the steps in Official Dress
- Charlee, Maddy, and Hallee toured the Library of Congress
- Traveled back to the hotel and had lunch
- Attended sessions 7, 8, and 9
- Had dinner and spent time with “community groups”
• Friday, June 19
- Service project where the students packed meals for “Meals of Hope”
- Charlee and Hallee toured Arlington National Cemetery and then the Holocaust Museum during free time
- Maddy toured the American History Museum and also the Holocaust Museum during free time
- Traveled back to the hotel
- Attended sessions 10 and 11
• Saturday, June 20
- All 3 girls flew home in the morning
