NEW! 🎃 CRACKED PUMPKIN PIMENTO CHEESE

This one came to kick pumpkin season into the savory side. 🍂

Real pumpkin. Sharp cheddar. Dark maple. Pimentos. Warm spice. And a generous crack of black pepper that comes through right at the finish.

Creamy. Savory. And a little unexpected.

Try it with crisp apples, seeded crackers, crostini or pretzels, but I’m warning you now… that cracked pepper changes everything.

This summer gave us more than we ever expected.

Thank you to every single person who prayed for us, waited for us, checked on us and stuck beside Odessa’s while we worked our way through regulations and found our way back to the shelves.

We didn’t return until August… and baby, y’all made up for LOST TIME. 😂💛

But here’s the truth:

We were only scratching the surface with the Chicken Salad Collection.

This week and next, we’ll begin saying goodbye to the full collection as we make room for our traditional flavors and prepare to welcome SOUP SEASON. 🍲🍂

But before the warm season completely slips away…

I thought I’d leave you with a little something.

A tiny tease of what I never got around to introducing this year.

🌽 ELOTE CHICKEN SALAD.

Roasted chicken seasoned with Mexican-inspired spices. Sweet roasted corn. A burst of Cotija. Fresh lime. Tajín. Creamy, smoky, bright, a little tangy… and unmistakably Odessa’s.

She’ll have to wait.

Apparently, there’s a Battle of the Waffles happening. 😂🧇

For anybody who hasn’t been keeping up: popular rapper DaBaby recently opened No Knife Chicken & Waffles in Charlotte, NC, and the internet has had MUCH to say about one particular menu item- a $45 Soulfood Cornbread Waffle!

And, as the internet does, folks have responded by posting their favorite waffle spots, homemade waffles, waffle creations and plenty of opinions about what a waffle should cost. 😂

My friend has officially named the phenomenon “The Battle of the Waffles,” and frankly, we’ve been entertained.

Now, let me say this before we continue: Odessa’s fully supports DaBaby and his business. Charge what you charge, sir. 😂 The people will decide what they’re willing to pay.

Of course, it wouldn’t be Odessa’s if we didn’t bend the rules a little.

We took our own Tuscan Basil Chicken Salad — sun-dried tomatoes, fresh basil, Parmesan and that creamy finish — added bacon, tucked her inside a buttery croissant and introduced the whole situation to a waffle iron.
Croissant + waffle = croffle.

Our shop is home to her ridiculously good chicken salad and pimento cheese—the kind of food made by actual hands, in small batches, with a whole lot of heart behind it.
No factory feel. No mass-produced anything. Just darn good food made by a darn good human.
We love that our four walls hold more than products. They hold makers, dreamers, small businesses, and people brave enough to build something of their own.
Odessa’s has a seat at our table.
And we wouldn’t have it any other way. ❤️

Tomorrow is one of our favorite days at 1928 Millhouse Coffee and Grit and Grace Collective.... THE Annual Fall Candle Drop! 🍂🕯️

They've been getting ready for a BIG one, and we can't wait to see everybody out for the official kickoff to fall. The first of many at our new location, new home and new community... wow, I can't believe I really just wrote that in real time... it's happening for real🥺

And don't worry… Odessa's got lunch covered after all the candle shopping and exploring NEW SURPRISES!

The fridge will be stocked with pimento cheese and all five chicken salad flavors.
