IN SEARCH OF HOT CHICKEN·TUESDAY, APRIL 21, 2020·
Several years ago 2 bored Firefighters wanted to get out into Nashville and have lunch. After Rodney introduced me to hot chicken at Prince’s, I was hooked. A couple shifts later at shift change, Rodney and I were discussing where we would go next, Burke chimed in (as always) and asked why he wasn’t invited. We told him we don’t invite anyone, just that all firefighters, past, present are always welcome. He said that this was not a good form of communication and dared us to make a page. Well, since we are unable to back down to people like Burke, who are only good at golf and firefighting, not much more, we made the page and the rest is history! Since then, millions of people have benefited from our research and we have been asked by Mark to slow our roll, since his servers can’t keep up. Sorry, Zuck, we aren’t stopping our search for hot chicken, deal with it.

Last minute change. We abandoned Hella because it’s take out only and the air temp is hotter that hot chicken today.

So, plan “B” was a mile south and we tried it there.

My friend Scott said that the medium chicken sandwich was “The best chicken sandwich I ever had”.

My hot tenders were cooked to perfection and ver hot. Waffle fries were perfect.

Very good Hangry, we shall return!

Recon:

Hangry Joes, Lebanon-

Ordered the daily special of chicken nuggets and waffle fries. Requested 1/2 hot and 1/2 medium.

Very fresh and tasty and cooked to perfection. The hot had a strong heat component while the medium paired well with their side sauce. Waffle fries are great.

We would make the drive from Spring Hill where you get 2 orders and a drink for less than $20.00.

Great chicken & value all day long.

4 of us had a good lunch today at Mack’s hot chicken!

They do not sell quarters anymore so we all had the tenders. Very large and 4 per order. All of us went home with two each.

Mediums had a slight burn while the hot was probably about the heat of Prince’s medium.

Fries were a bit soft and an undercooked. Just know that once you order it takes about 20 minutes until it served, so nice and fresh!

As always, we’re always in search of hot chicken, so if there’s a place you would like us to go and get our expert opinion, let us know!
