One of our local butcher shops had hamburger on sale this weekend. We picked up 10 pounds. This is how we package ours to freeze. We use burger pretty quick, so the baggies work fine for us. We smash them down to save space in the freezer. Each bag is 1 pound.
How does everyone else package their burger to freeze?

It took 9 hours, but we canned 26 pints of pasta sauce today! We like to do pints because it is usually the perfect amount for two people. I love my Amish waterbath canner. I was able to process them all at the same time and even had room for 10 more jars.

French toast must be made with homemade bread, especially sourdough. This is a nice start to a busy day of canning
