Today was one of those days that reminds me how blessed we truly are.

There is something special about teaching your kids where food really comes from. We spent the day catching blue crabs together, showing them how to respect nature, appreciate God's creation, and enjoy the rewards of hard work. Then we brought our fresh catch home and turned it into homemade sushi.

Who needs imitation crab meat when you can use the real thing? Nothing compares to fresh, local blue crab caught with your own hands and shared around the family table.

As the sun set, I couldn't help but thank God for these simple moments—for family, for laughter, for the beauty of the Connecticut shoreline, and for the opportunity to create memories that will last a lifetime.
