One of my favorite things about floral cupcakes is that you can give me the same flowers 10 different times and I don’t think I’d ever make the exact same box twice.

There’s no template telling me exactly where every leaf goes or which direction every petal should face. I’m building the box as I go, moving things around, adding a little here, deciding something needs to go there. 🌸

And somehow, at the end, it all looks like it was planned that way from the beginning.

That’s probably the part of this that never gets old for me. It’s cake, but it still gets to feel like making art. ✨🧁🌷

There’s something about making literally anything tiny that immediately makes it 10x cuter.

Tiny flowers? Cute. Tiny strawberries? Cute. Put both of them on a mini cupcake and suddenly I’m emotionally invested. 🥹

I don’t know who decided miniature versions of things deserve this kind of reaction from us, but they were onto something.

These are my first strawberry-themed minis and, respectfully, LOOK AT THEM. 🍓🌸

Now I need to know… What else do you think is objectively better simply because it’s tiny? 👀

09/26/2026

I think we need to start asking people what kind of flowers they want. Fresh or buttercream.

The kind of flowers you don’t have to pretend you’ll remember to water. 💦 🌷

I owe my client an apology because I questioned this order for MONTHS. 😂

She booked this order months ago and used a photo from one of my previous Christmas orders as her inspiration. It was pink and white poinsettias that I had originally designed for a pink Christmas theme. 🩷🎅🏻

She wanted the same flowers. Same colors. Gold pearls. Butterflies.

I verified from the very beginning that she definitely wanted the poinsettias because, in my head, those flowers belonged on a Christmas set. 🎄🌸

And apparently I spent the next few months still thinking about it because a couple days before her order, I messaged her AGAIN just to make sure. 😅

She was sure. Me? Not so much.

But I trusted her vision and made exactly what she asked for.

And…apparently she knew what she was doing. Because I absolutely LOVE how this turned out! The poinsettias don’t feel Christmas-y at all, everything works together, and somehow the set I was the most unsure about became one of my favorites. ✨💕

Sometimes I just need to mind my business and pipe the flowers. 😂🌷

October is officially FULLY BOOKED! 🌸

And somehow, we’re already down to just 32 open days on my calendar for the rest of 2026. If you’re planning to order before the end of the year, now is definitely the time to start looking at those dates!

A quick note about November: due to the amount of interest I’ve already received for Thanksgiving, November 21–25 will be reserved for Thanksgiving preorders only. I won’t be accepting regular custom orders during those dates. I’ll announce the Thanksgiving preorder menu in late October!

If the date you need is already booked, don’t forget that my cupcakes freeze and thaw really well. As long as I have availability beforehand, ordering early and freezing them until your event is always an option.

And since I’ve already had questions about 2027, I’ll begin accepting orders for next year in late November. I’ll make a post once the 2027 calendar is officially open!

Y’all are keeping this little calendar BUSY, and I’m so thankful for it. 🥹

Sometimes the best instructions are simply “decorator’s choice.” 🌸

This client gave me total creative control, so I pulled together moody mauves, creamy ivory and muted greens and just ran with it. And THIS is why I love what I do.

Floral cupcakes don’t need a huge occasion attached to them either. Bring them to girls night. Send a dozen for a birthday. Take them to dinner with friends. Celebrate a new house, a promotion, an engagement, a new baby… or show up at somebody’s door on a random Tuesday because they’ve had a week.

There are a whole lot of moments worth bringing flowers for.

Mine just happen to be edible. 🌸

I made these for Stephanie at Sugar Hi Cakes to congratulate her on the grand opening of her bakery. 💐

I will always root for other local bakers. There’s room for all of us, and selfishly, I LOVE having somewhere to go buy really good treats that I didn’t have to make myself. 😂

And trust me, I’ve sampled enough at this point to give a fair review. It’s been a full-on smorgasbord and everything has been phenomenal.

Stefanie told me she comes from a line of bakers, and you can tell. Not just in how addictively good everything is, but in how she runs her business and treats her customers. People keep coming back for a reason.

And now I’m one of them. 🙋🏻‍♀️

Congratulations on the new bakery, Stefanie! You’ve built something really special, and I’m excited to watch it grow. 💕

That first birthday hits a little different. 🌸

You spend an entire year counting everything. The first smile. The first tooth. The first steps. All those tiny little moments that somehow add up to an entire year.

And then suddenly you’re lighting their very first birthday candle, everyone is singing, and your baby is sitting behind their own little cake wondering why the whole room is looking at them.

You take approximately 400 pictures. They get icing everywhere. Somebody is probably crying. It may or may not be you. 😂

That’s the part I get to be a tiny piece of.

The little cake sitting in front of them in those pictures you’ll keep forever. The flowers on the dessert table. The cupcakes everyone grabs while you’re busy soaking up the fact that your baby is ONE.

The cake will be smashed. The cupcakes will be eaten. But the pictures, the little icing-covered face, and the memory of everyone you love gathered around your baby? That part stays.

And getting to make something beautiful for the middle of all of that is a pretty sweet part of Bloom & Buttercream. 🌸

🌷 HOW TO ORDER FROM BLOOM & BUTTERCREAM 🌷

Ordering is pretty simple, but there are a few things I need from you to keep everything running smoothly around here. Save this one for later!

1. Start with my website.
Before texting, please check my menu, pricing AND availability. I keep my calendar updated, so if it says I’m booked, I’m booked. Everything you need to know before ordering is there!

2. Ready to order? TEXT me.
📱 601-706-9861

Please include your first + last name, email address, and order details.

This is a TEXT ONLY number. Calls will not be answered or returned. I also work as a paralegal Monday through Thursday, so if I don’t respond immediately, I promise I’m not ignoring you. I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.

3. Check your invoice BEFORE paying.
Your invoice will be sent by text and email through QuickBooks. Please look it over carefully and let me know if anything needs to be corrected or changed before you pay. Invoices are due within 24 hours.

Once payment is submitted, I assume everything on the invoice is correct. ✔️

4. I’ll handle pickup scheduling.
I’ll text you approximately 48 hours before your pickup date to confirm everything and schedule your pickup time.

5. Please, please keep your pickup time.
Pickup times aren’t suggestions or estimates. 😂 My schedule is tight, and I plan my day around them. I’ll allow a reasonable grace period when I can, but I cannot spend an entire afternoon trapped at home waiting for someone to arrive.

If something comes up, just communicate with me.

6. When you arrive, please stay in your vehicle. 🚗
Text me to let me know you’re here and someone will bring your order out to you.

Bloom & Buttercream is run from my home, and my dogs believe every person who pulls into the driveway has specifically come to visit them. 😂 For their sanity, my sanity, and the general peace of the household, please stay in your vehicle.

That’s it! 🌸

I know it may seem like a lot written out, but having one consistent ordering and pickup process is how I keep everything straight while juggling Bloom & Buttercream, my other job, and regular life.

Pretty cupcakes require organization behind the scenes.
