And somehow I always find room for one more herb.

Every year I grow a little more, learn a lot more, and add another plant I want to figure out how to use.

The recipes I kept from Ruby weren't all written on cards.

The Ruby Apothecary is my way of holding onto those things she taught me simply by the way she lived and carrying them forward in my own way.

Sometimes I wish I could show Ruby what her love has grown into. 🤍

I am not, and probably never will be, a naturally slow person. 😂

Ruby used to be baffled by how fast I ran around and how "busy" I always kept myself. Meanwhile, nothing moved fast at her house. Everything happened in due time. There was nowhere else you needed to be but right there with her.

Maybe that's why her house always felt like an exhale.

I think tea gives me a little piece of that now.

Catnip, mugwort, lemon balm, and rose each bring something different to this blend.

Catnip and lemon balm bring the calm. Mugwort is traditionally associated with dreaming and nighttime ritual. Rose rounds everything out with a softness that belongs in an evening cup.

I created Drift for the nights when your body is tired, but your brain hasn't quite gotten the message yet.

A little herbal nudge that says: we're done for today. 💤

Slow doesn't mean empty. It means I'm actually there for the full thing, dirt on my hands and all.

This season I'm learning that presence is the practice, not productivity. 🧘

It starts with growing a few herbs in the garden.

Then suddenly you have jars everywhere, something drying in every available corner, and you're making tea for everyone you know!

And honestly, I wouldn't have it any other way.
