✨Meet VEIL✨

Some of my favorite memories of Ruby happened at dusk.

After the heat of the day had passed, we'd head outside. Something we'd walk laps around the track. Sometimes we'd wander through the neighborhood with no destination in mind. Just walking together.

We talked about everything but also nothing at the same time. She just wanted to hear all my life updates. The details of those conversations have faded with time, but the feeling never has.

The sound of cicadas filling the evening air. The sky slowly changing colors above us. The comfort of being beside someone you love, with nowhere else you needed to be. I always wished those walks could last a little longer. However, the mosquitos usually had other plans!

Veil was inspired by those moments.

Crafted with catnip, yarrow, tulsi, and chamomile, it's made for evening walks, time in the garden, porch conversations, and all the little moments that keep you outside until the stars come out.

Summer at Ruby's house was a season all its own.

The smells of the summer air. The hum of cicadas as the sun disappeared behind the trees. Sitting with my grandfather while he cracked pecans. The feeling of finally sitting down after a day well spent outdoors with loved ones.

Everything about that time felt like a deep exhale for the soul.

Radiance was created with that same spirit in mind.

Spring has a way of asking more from your body than you expect 🤍

Even when everything around you feels light and new, your body can still be trying to catch up — adjusting, responding, doing more than you realize.

I’ve learned that this season isn’t just about enjoying it, but about supporting myself through it.

Slowing down a little more, paying attention a little earlier, and choosing small, consistent ways to stay grounded.

Because sometimes feeling better isn’t about doing more… it’s about supporting your body in quieter, steadier ways.

People used to know their plants in a much more everyday kind of way.

Calendula for skin that needed a little extra care.
Peppermint for upset stomachs.
Yarrow and goldenrod hanging to dry because someone always ended up needing them eventually.

I think about that a lot when I'm in the kitchen making things for the shop. Slowing down to make things by hand.

To know where the herbs came from.
To let things steep slowly.
To make something useful for loved ones.

That's really all this is. Small, steady care passed from one set of hands to another.

I've been growing calendula in the garden for a while now, and every time I harvest it, I think about how something so simple and bright has been quietly used for generations.

It's also one of the least fussy plants I grow.

I plant Orange King every year. It handles less-than-perfect soil, a little neglect, and still comes back with those big, sun-bright blooms that catch your eye every time you walk past. This brilliant flower soothes irritation, supports repair, and calms inflammation.

I harvest it by hand, then slowly infuse it into oil.

That infusion is part of what goes into Ruby's Remedy🌼 our small-batch salve made for the moments when your skin just needs a little gentleness.
