🔎Truth time- some weeks my Sunday Basket is really a Monday or Tuesday Basket🗃. But ya know what? It still keeps me on track🛤. So, guess what’s in my Sunday Basket this week? My absentee ballot🗳 for the general election🇺🇸! I’m going to be out of the state on election day, but I’m not letting that stop me from voting (see my PSA at the bottom).
I’ll be completely honest, I don’t know if I would have gotten it done without the Sunday Basket. It’s a lot of steps📑✉️📬, and I can see myself getting hung up somewhere in the middle and either getting into a time crunch⏳ or giving up altogether.
Now, a perk of the Sunday Basket I haven’t mentioned? My husband knows that it is “home base” 🏠 for anything on the to-do list. So, when we go through it each week (sometimes as a team, and sometimes it’s more like divide and conquer), we are BOTH 👫 getting reminded of our to-do list📋, which means I am not having to be “cruise ship director” (or nagging task master) keeping tabs on our home life, directing him where to go 🗺 and what needs to be done🧹🗄. Which meant that last week, I was the one who got to be the fun one and say “Hey you wanna go on a hike at Red Mountain⛰?” and this week he was the one being responsible saying “Ok for real we have got to get our ballots in the mail📬.” IT WAS SO REFRESHING.
🎃👻🗃So, I’ve declared next weekend 🗓Sunday Basket weekend and I am hosting workshops Saturday and Sunday for anyone ready to take the plunge!🗂🗑👻🎃

[💡And here’s my voting PSA- if you haven’t made your plan to vote yet, it’s time! In Alabama you have until 🍁Oct. 19🍁 to get registered, that’s step 1. Next, decide if you are voting by mail or in person. If you are voting in person, make sure you know where your polling place is🏛. To vote by mail, you'll print off a request for an absentee ballot and mail 📫 it in with a copy of your state ID, and they'll mail you your ballot🗳. From there, you just follow the included instructions, and be careful that you use all 3 of the envelopes 💌✉️🧧to mail it back.
Disclaimer- every state is different, you're responsible for doing your own research, but I’m happy to help you google, etc]
