🍕 WE’RE HIRING! Kitchen Crew Wanted
Do you know your way around a kitchen? Can you handle a dinner rush without running for the hills? Do you know the difference between “I’m tired” and “I’m about to quit”? 😂
Then you might be exactly who we’re looking for!
The Local Oven is looking for a dependable, hardworking kitchen team member to join our slightly chaotic but usually fun crew.
Kitchen or restaurant experience is preferred, but NOT required. If you don’t have experience but you’re willing to learn, work hard, and actually show up when you’re scheduled, we’re willing to teach you!
🍕 What You’ll Be Doing
• Preparing and cooking food to our standards
• Prepping ingredients and keeping your station stocked
• Answering the phone and taking customer orders
• Keeping up when the tickets start printing like they’re trying to bankrupt us
• Making sure food is cooked properly and looks like something we’d actually serve to our own family
• Keeping your work area clean and organized
• Washing dishes and helping wherever you’re needed
• Following food safety and sanitation guidelines along with our cleanliness standards
• Helping with opening and closing duties
• Working with the rest of the crew to keep the kitchen moving
• Basically… doing whatever needs to be done to keep the wheels on the bus
🍔 What We’re Looking For
• Kitchen/restaurant experience preferred, but not required
• Someone who is dependable and actually shows up for their shifts
• Someone who can take direction without taking it personally
• Someone who can work in a fast-paced environment
• Someone who works well with others
• Someone with a good attitude
• Someone willing to learn
• Someone who notices when something needs done and doesn’t wait for somebody to ask
🚨 MOST IMPORTANTLY…
We’re looking for someone who WANTS to work.
We’re not expecting you to know everything on Day 1. We can teach you how we do things. What we can’t teach is reliability, work ethic, a good attitude, and the ability to not disappear when things get busy. 😂
