Salams — we just pushed a bunch of stuff to the apps you should know about.
For context: we get 150–200 downloads a day, mostly word-of-mouth, and have been steady at that for years. So this isn't a "please download my app" post — it's an "if you already use it, here's what's new and what would help" post.
The big one is playlists - themed collections of halal places. Things like "Halal Texas BBQ" or "Best brunch in Brooklyn." Some we curate, but the cool part is you can build your own — pin it to a city, pick a cover photo, add places straight from any restaurant page, and share the link. Use it for travel planning, your usual spots, whatever. You can also follow other people's playlists and they'll sit on your Bookmarks tab.
Also worth flagging if you're new to Zabihah: every restaurant has a HalalRank score (0–100), which is a confidence ranking based on certificates on file, supplier evidence, public statements, and what users have submitted. If you've seen a halal cert at a place or have a photo from inside, you can submit it from the restaurant page and it updates the score for everyone else.
All of this is live on iOS, desktop, and mobile web right now. Android is the only one lagging — should ship in a week or two with the same playlists, same map, same everything.
Would genuinely love feedback on the playlist UX — what would make it actually useful for you vs. a feature that exists but you never open? Let us know!
