🍂This fall, Season Sips is honored to join the community in raising tips for Mae. 🐦
Mae is the 1-year-old daughter of Michael and Mackenzie Buzzard of Altamont, IL. Mae was recently diagnosed with Leigh syndrome, a progressive and terminal disease that affects the brain and can eventually take away a child’s ability to walk, talk, and eat. There is currently no cure.
But for the first time, there is real hope.
A gene therapy has already been developed and is moving toward its first human clinical trial.
For Mae, this isn't just research.
This is her chance to live.
