After 28 years of safely navigating visitors and residents to the beauty of Cape Lookout, Captain Steve Bishop has stepped away to spend more summer time with his lovely wife Gail and their multiple grandchildren. We have all been very lucky to join Steve on his cruises over the years. And loved hosting his retirement celebration earlier this week. We all are wishing you two the most actively restful retirement. Job well done. BTW, Steve did sell his boat and company to a captain that used to work with him. Only the faces will change, but the tours just as great.

We are grateful for all our wonderful guests, but as a UNC alumnus, we were most excited to have Hall of Fame coach Larry Brown in the house tonite. Many might now know this but Coach Brown, in addition to being in the Hall of Fame, also is the only coach to have ever won a NCAA championship (Kansas) and NBA World Championship (Detroit Pistons). Thanks for having dinner with us tonite Coach.
