As the sun cascades past the felines that adorn our window sills, we're hard at work resetting, restocking, and refreshing the taproom & kitchen after a whirlwind of a weekend! It was great to see the community come together, and we're grateful that you chose to continue the celebration within our walls. 🥰

The threats of tornados have subsided, and after all that anxiety, it's safe to say you deserve a little treat. 🍻

Navigate the branch-strewn roads to Foreign Exchange and bask in the sunny skies on our cozy patio. Becca's go-to is the Cowboy Cooler: Sandía, while Ricky can't get enough of the fresh squeezed hop juice that is Foreign Chemistry.

2 things: The world cup kicks off today, and we couldn't be more excited! Stop in and join us in cheering on Mexico beginning at 2PM. 🇲🇽

But also, we know all too well what it's like to be without power, if you recall our massive outage last August. If you're one of the many people affected without power, we offer you our taproom as a welcome respite from your ComEd woes. You're welcome to stop in and spend time in our air conditioned taproom, charge your devices, knock out some work on our wifi, and refill your water bottles, no purchase necessary.

Put off turning on your AC for ooooone more day by taking advantage of ours, set to a cool six-seven, on this muggy Wednesday. 😎

Some Good News: Elijah Craig Straight Rye is our $5 whiskey of the day. Unlike many high rye whiskies, Elijah Craig Rye uses 51% rye, effectively balancing out the spicy peppery rye, with corn-fueled classic bourbon sweetness. It's an excellent pick to begin your journey exploring the wonderful world of ryes.

Some not-so-good news: effective immediately, $1 wings are for dine-in only. We started hooking you guys up with cheap wings to get people in the door as we fought for our lives crawling out of our slow months, but now take out orders are causing us to run out of wings and overload our small kitchen for our guests that choose to dine in with us. We absolutely love your enthusiasm for our wings, and we hope you'll consider bringing your family & friends to dine in with us and pair our top tier wings with top tier hospitality.

Hypothesis: a less expressive yeast will create more expressive hop character in our Gratification recipe. 🧑‍🔬

Conclusion: For the first time since November 2020, "Foreign Chemistry" returns. This batch focuses on amplifying hop character and aroma with changes at the fermentation level.

By using a more neutral and less expressive yeast, the qualities of the Citra & Galaxy hops become more raw, sharp, and defined. In this batch we also utilized Cashmere hops, as well as Citra hop terpenes. Muting yeast esters results in the citrus, dankness, and bright lime zest from the terpenes popping with pristine clarity, while the Citra, Galaxy, and Cashmere hops jump out of the glass with a juice box tropical sweetness and prominent aromas of pineapple and passionfruit.

In short: Incredibly fruit-forward, aromatic, bursting with hop character and one of the least bitter IPAs we've produced to date. It's delicious, and it's on draft now. We're open until 9pm today.

Stop in tomorrow for Taco Tuesday, where we'll be featuring Quesabirria Flautas: Birria-style braised beef and chihuahua cheese-filled El Milagro tortillas, crispy fried and loaded with fresh pico, cotija cheese, and our consome crema.

June's burger of the month is a masterpiece of sweet-meets-savory, as we decorate two quarter pound angus beef patties with grape jelly maple bacon jam, crispy onions, wisconsin cheddar and a thai peanut-inspired sauce.

As an added bonus, you guys loved the Chile Relleno burger SO much, that we've decided to keep it on for another month! And just like the Birria Grilled cheese, if you guys continue to show love for it, we'll find a permanent home for it on our menu. 🥰

One sip and you'll understand why we named it "Blue Tickets to Paradise". This vibrant island-inspired cocktail is crafted with rich pineapple rum, crisp pineapple juice, a sharp splash of fresh lime, and finished with a splash of blue curaçao.

Distract yourself from the cesspool that is the modern day internet with $1 wings and $4 off any of our hand-selected bourbons from our collection.

Our $5 Whiskey of the day (while supplies last! we don't have much) is Jack Daniel's Triple Mash. We love this Jack Daniel's variant because it's a blend of 3 bottled in bond Jack Daniel's recipes: rye, old no. 7, and American malt. The result is a rye spiced and sweeter take on the already caramel-forward Jack Daniel's we all know and love, and it sips nicely neat or with a pair of ice cubes.

We'll pour Triple Mash however you'd like alongside the best wings in Downtown Aurora, we're here until 9pm.

If we hadn't already given you enough reasons to stop in for Loteria tonight, we're also tapping our first ever tequila seltzer, Cowboy Cooler: Sandía.

Made with premium Lalo tequila, watermelon, and fresh lime, this bubbly 4.8% abv draft seltzer is made for Sunny days and Summer nights. There's only one keg of it though, but if you guys dig it as much as we do we'll make more. 🐎

New American Classic is inspired by the beers that made us realize that there was more to the world. Inspired by the way your taste buds felt the first time you had a Bell's Two Hearted, or a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. Inspired by simpler times, but crafted with what we've learned since.

It pours a gorgeous tangerine tinged amber, with a caramel-forward malt character that comes together with the hop character to create flavors & aromas of candied orange, grapefruit, lemongrass, and sticky pine resin. Lightly sweet up front and crisp, dry, & refreshing in the finish, with a balanced bitterness that quenches any thirst as we go into summer.

This batch was hopped with Centennial, Cascade, Simcoe, and Citra hops, a further step towards the classic hop profiles that made us fall in love with this beer style. The Centennial and Simcoe is accented with the addition of hop terpenes, a first for us, that turn those specific hops up to 11.

We love this beer, we hope you do too. It's draft-only for the time being though, so pull up and grab a pint, we're open for lunch and dinner service from 12-7pm.
