As many of you already know, the Smoke House has now closed. It has come with many different emotions. I would have never imagined the outpouring of love and support. What began as a little catering business in the basement of our home, grew to be a big catering business over the past almost 50 years, along with a restaurant with 150 seats.
First of all, I want to thank our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for allowing us to run this little business for all these years. We have been more than blessed. We want to thank all of our wonderful guests, most of whom have become dear friends. And we want to thank our staff who have become more like family than employees.
We are extremely humbled and thankful for how you have embraced the Smoke House and helped us be a part of this wonderful community for so many years. For a Mom and Pop restaurant to survive in this day and age is a huge accomplishment that we all can be proud of. We could have never done it without all of you.
We all are sad when our favorite restaurants close. They not only provide the food we love, but they also offer a place to meet our friends and family, talk to our favorite server, have a business meeting, and sit at our favorite table. And, a staff that takes extra special care of you, your family and your meal that you just canโt get at a chain restaurant.
We have no plans to reopen, but never say never. For now, go out and support your favorite restaurants. Enjoy them with your family and friends. We hope to see you in this wonderful community that we live in together.
