Church this morning REALLY got God talking to me....and me talking to Him. Some notes.

1. Gospel Principles Chapter 19. Forgiveness. Does forgiveness always lead to the removal of scars? If so, is that removal immediate?

2. God wants us to project Him, but in order to do so, we need 3 things.
A. God acts as our power supply. Through Him are all things possible. (I think that's Ephesians, but don't hold me to it.)
B. Jesus is our wi-fi. Thank You Jesus that even when we are not physically close to God, You are our intercessor! For no man may come unto Me save through My Son, Jesus Christ. (Luke? Matthew? One of the four gospels, for certain.)
C. Ourselves. We have to be tuned in to God's Holy frequency, or we'll just give off static. I've seen it, and sadly, I've also done it. But God forgives you and keeps giving you chances to change the channel back to God TV.

You must have ALL 3 connected to give off a clear picture. So, plug into your power supply, hook up your wifi, get on the correct channel.... and show the world God's Romance!

Today, I have some great friends struggling with depression. These gentlemen do not seem the type. It was a gentle reminder from God that we ALL have something inside that others might not see, or that we might not show. Be kind, always. And if you can't....be quiet.

Here is a short list of coping skills I have personally found to be useful when struggling with depression and anxiety. I hope they help someone.

1. Pray. Not for relief, not for strength, but in praise.

2. Gratitude journal or jar. Focusing on blessings will bring them closer to your heart and move the insecurities and doubts and pain.

3. MOVE! Find something to do to keep your mind distracted. Go feed the homeless. Or if you are feeling unaccomplished, start small. Make your bed, clean your room, do something small that you feel unable to do.

4. MOVE! Exercise is a great way to force your brain to create more serotonin, a "happy" chemical. It also gets endorphins rushing around going WHEEEE! Lol

5. Get out! No, seriously. Put down the phone and gi outside. 30 minutes of sunlight gets enough vitamin D to help your body fight off a lack of serotonin. Fall and winter are known as thè bleak seasons, not just because of a lack of harvest, but because the days are so short, and dark. If you can't get enough sunlight, try taking a vitamin D supplement.

6. Meditate. If your depression is not chemically related, then it has to be circumstantial. Take time to know yourself. Figure out what situation has brought you down. Then, determine the value you place on the situation, if you can change it, if it is worth the cost of changing it. If it can't be changed, resolve to turn it over to God.

7. Reach out. You are never alone. There will ALWAYS be someone God will put in your life to stand with you. If it is s moment of solitude, lean on God. Remember His promises to us. Jeremiah 29:11 (Elder Kendrick, you should have known this would be in here. 😊)

Breathe. Focus just on your breathing. Controlling your breathing actually relaxes your body, which in turn tells the brain that the crisis has passed.

God doesn't use people on the mountain, because that doesn't show His awesome miracle-working power. He uses people who are broken, discouraged, despairing, hopeless... because there is no way those people can do what He does through them.

It is amazing to me what a difference staying steeped in God's Word can do for the Spirit! Even better is having an all-Christian crew! It was a GREAT night, singing Christian music and talking God. Not one bad mood tonight at all! God is great! And on the way home, I got to see two doe, just standing on the edge of the road! Miracles abound, people, just open your heart and your eyes. 💜

If God has made several attempts to close a door for you, stop being stupid and sticking your foot in it, because your trials and tribulations will just keep getting worse, until God just about has to break your foot off to get the lowly, the bad, the toxic, the selfish, the lying, the ego, the id, the WHATEVER that is stopping your blessings out of the way. Because God KNOWS what He has planned for you; plans to prosper you, not to harm you, plans for a future and a purpose, for all those who believe on Him.
