These beans were a sample pack I picked up from Burman Coffee Traders that allowed you to roast/ sample the same coffee bean processed three different ways:
Black Honey, Washed, and Natural Processed. Pretty interestingā€¦.:-)

ā€¦.because of my work schedule, I havenā€™t been able to roast much the last few months. Decided to ā€œre-seasonā€ one of my roaster drums this afternoon. Took the batch up to 455-460 degrees, thatā€™s hot,ā€¦.does a good job bringing out the oils in the coffee bean, in turn the oils coat the roasting drum. That temperature range would most likely be considered a ā€œFrenchā€ roast profile. I will say this batch looked and smelled good, but Iā€™m sure it would produce a very ā€œbitterā€ cup of coffee. Many people prefer that taste profile, I personally like a lighter roast, what is referred by some as ā€œAmericanaā€ā€¦.to each their ownā€¦šŸ˜Š
