Tomorrow at noon Tier 1 Cards & Games will become more than just an excellent hobby shop with cards and games, tomorrow it will also have cake & cheese puffs. Maybe they should consider changing their name to "Tier 1 Cards & Cheese" 😃 Just a good thought 😃

I will not be as Spenard Farmers Market tomorrow, Saturday the 26th. However, I will be at Tier 1 cards and games sunday, the 27th from noon to 4:00.

Someone once told me that it would help if I gave notice of where I wouldn't be.. that list would be incredibly long though so suffice to say I won't be at Spenard tomorrow, but I will be at Tier 1 on Sunday. See you there!

Alaska Pacific University is doing a benefit auction tomorrow, thursday, September 24th, and I have donated two cakes and two tote bags to their educational cause. So if you're interested in education, and cake, consider looking into their benefit auction. 🙂

Also, also, I've been getting a number of requests lately for Vegan treats, which are not my strong point. Fortunately The Moon Muse specializes in this area and I recommend you look her up for your vegan treats needs. :)

Last call!
For outdoor markets this year that is. 😁
This Saturday, September 19th, I will be at the Spenard Farmers Market from 9:30am-2:30 pm, rain or more rain, but hopefully no wind.
Going forward into Fall I will be at the following locations;
Sunday, September 27th, Tier 1 Cards & Games from 12n-4p
Saturday, October 10th, Midtown Mall from 10a-5p
Saturday, October 17th, Midtown Mall from 10a-5p
Sunday, November 8th, Tier 1 Cards & Games from 12n-4p
Sunday, November 22nd, Tier 1 Cards & Games, from 12n-4p
Saturday, December 12th, Midtown Mall from 10a-5p
Saturday, December 19th, Midtown Mall from 10a-5p

And that closes out the year. I am, as always, and time permitting, accepting batch orders and cake orders. As I am not a full-time bakery I do ask for 48 hours notice so I can fit your baking request into my schedule.

What's the difference between jelly and jam? You should be able to see through jelly, especially if the light is right, jam can be chunky.
What's a conserve then? Even chunkier, often with bits of fruit and nuts floating in it. This has been your Jam moment of the day. 😀

This Saturday at the Spenard Farmers Market I will be giving away these small treats that I'm calling "Dolly" cups. They are in honor of the passing of Dolly Parton and her cup a cup a cup cake recipe from Steel Magnolias which is all the rave on the internet right now.
This version is gluten free of course; it is one cup of flour, one cup of sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda, a pinch of salt, and a whole 15 oz can of fruit cocktail. Bake in the oven at 350° for 35 minutes.
Only have a couple dozen available, so first come first serve, or you can use the recipe to make your own for your friends and family. 🙂
