☕🔥 Coffee Roasting Day Has Begun! 🔥☕

The smell of fresh coffee is filling the bakery today as we begin prep for this Saturday's Nazareth Farmers Market.

Today is all about roasting. Bags and bags of fresh coffee are making their way through the roaster so they'll be ready for market day.

But that's not the only exciting news...

🥨 The Pretzel Loaf is coming back! 🥨

Last markets debut was a huge success, and many of you asked for more. We heard you loud and clear, so we're bringing an even larger batch to Nazareth this Saturday.

And making its first appearance of the 2026 market season...

🍫☕ The Double Chocolate Espresso Loaf Returns! ☕🍫

This was one of our original signature loaves when we first started selling sourdough. Rich chocolate, espresso, and sourdough all working together in one delicious loaf.

As we've rotated through seasonal sweet loaves over the past year, this one has been waiting patiently on the sidelines. This Saturday it finally makes its comeback.

That means one loaf has to take a week off...

👋 Everything But the Bagel Loaf will be resting on the bench this week.

Over the next few days we'll be roasting coffee, mixing dough, and getting everything ready for Saturday.

🥨 The Sourdough Pretzel Loaf is back! 🥨

After making its debut in Nazareth last week, the Pretzel Loaf has officially arrived in Saylorsburg.

This loaf gets a traditional baking soda bath before baking, creating that beautiful pretzel crust. Then it's topped with salt and develops a buttery, slightly sweet honey flavor that's perfect for sandwiches, burgers, picnics, and summer cookouts.

But the Pretzel Loaf didn't come alone.

Did you know that Pennsylvania is the Pretzel capital of the world?

Specifically Reading Pennsylvania. They produce 1/3rd of all the pretzels sold in the United States. It's very likely that your favorite brand is located in this state of ours. Just see the image attached below.

Well, here at Five Eight Coffee and Sourdough Company we are doing our part to keep Pennsylvania the pretzel capital of the world.

Last week we brought our new Sourdough Pretzel loaf to Nazareth, this week it's Saylorsburg's turn.

We are introducing the Pretzel loaf to the Saylorsburg Farmers Market at Saylors Inn.

This loaf gets a traditional baking soda bath prebake. This helps it develop that beautiful pretzel crust. Then we sprinkle the top with salt. The flavor is buttery, slightly sweet from honey. It makes great summertime sandwiches for picnics and parties.

Well it's Wednesday night and the kitchen's still clean,
That's about the rarest thing you've ever seen.

The flour's on the shelf, the starter's laying low,
But tomorrow morning y'all already know...

Michelle's gonna be mixing while I'm hauling sacks,
Trying to remember where we put all the baking racks.

Got coffee in the bags and the roaster's done,
But the baking side of things? Well, we've only just begun.

The cookies are coming,
The muffins are too,
The sourdough lineup is rolling through.

Classic, favorites, and all the usual crew,
But this week we've got something a little bit new.

👀 There's a mystery loaf waiting in the wings,
A brand-new flavor if everything swings.

We're keeping it secret till Friday night,
Assuming the dough behaves and the starter acts right.
