Four bowties. Half a bag of rotini. Half a bag of one you can't exactly pronounce. One questionable amount of penne.
You know the ones.
Today, we're embracing the beautiful chaos hiding in the back of your pantry and turning it into something cheesy, saucy, and surprisingly crave-worthy with WisePies Marinara.
Because not every great meal starts with a grocery list. Sometimes it starts with a cabinet clean-out, a little creativity, and the decision to have some fun.
Here's how we make it:
Frankenstein Pasta Bake
Part pantry clean-out. Part comfort food masterpiece.
Ingredients (serves 6–8):
• 1 jar WisePies Marinara (Roasted Red Bell Pepper Marinara, Hatch Green Chile Marinara, or Spicy Marinara)
• 1–2 tsp Italian seasoning
• ½ tsp garlic powder
• 2 cups shredded mozzarella
• ½ cup fresh parmesan
• Any other cheese hanging out in your fridge that you'd like to use up
• Salt & pepper to taste
• 6 cups pasta (mix and match your favorite shapes)
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 375°F and grease a 9x13 baking dish.
Cook pasta according to package directions and drain. Or cook it all together and embrace a little pasta chaos. We don't judge.
Toss the pasta with your favorite WisePies Marinara. Add the Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Stir in half the mozzarella and any extra cheese you're trying to use up.
Transfer to your baking dish and top with the remaining mozzarella and parmesan. Bonus points for fresh basil.
Bake for 20–25 minutes, until bubbly, golden, and impossible to leave alone.
Pro Tip: Making it in the crock pot? Add a few dollops of cottage cheese throughout the pasta before cooking. It works just like ricotta, helps keep everything creamy, and won't dry out.
Whether you're feeding hungry kids, meal-prepping for the week, hosting friends, or finally reclaiming shelf space from those half-empty pasta bags, this recipe proves that a little kitchen creativity can go a long way.
Less waste. More cheese. Everybody wins.
