🧪 Malaria vs Typhoid – Let’s Know the Difference! 🦟🍲
I've seen how these two terms are often confused—especially in our community.
But of a truth: they are different , caused by different organisms, and require different lab tests for proper diagnosis.
🔬 LABORATORY DIAGNOSIS
🦟 MALARIA
Cause: plasmodium species ( Transmitted by female Anopheles mosquito)
Diagnosis methods:
Microscopy: Thick and thin film
R DT - safe, quick.
🍲 TYPHOID FEVER
Cause: Salmonella typhi(you get this from contaminated food or water)
Diagnosis Methods:
✅ Widal test– widely used
✅ Blood culture– most reliable method
✅ Stool/urine culture

Don’t self-diagnose or mix treatments😁
Always visit the hospital for proper testing!
❗ Wrong diagnosis = wrong treatment = more problems(like drug resistance)
