I remember the days watching my mum in her kitchen cooking and baking for the family and many times even for a party of 50 or more. I would be dabbling around wherever and whenever I can, at times getting in her way and getting an earful for doing that. Growing up in a little town it was almost impossible to get hold of fancy ingredients. Our ‘Cold Storage’ was a little shop with a few big freezer
s. Yet, I remember tasting delicious meals and cakes from my mum’s humble kitchen. She definitely had passion. I believe that same passion has been instilled in me. I spend my free time daydreaming about new recipes and I find comfort in cooking and baking. At every chance, I will be flipping through pages from magazines until I get to the ‘recipe’ page, or even staring at a picture of dessert or food somewhat calms me and it feels heartwarming. These days what keeps me busy is baking and I am excited to share with you my home baked, soulful brownies. I have tried many variations of brownies and I am now delighted with my brownie recipe, but my work is not done. With the help of my wicked whisk, it takes me places where I could only dream of in the past. Trying new ideas, mischievous at times and definitely a rebel. You might see this in the little surprises hidden in my brownies; chunks of chocolate, pieces of cookie dough. As my mum used to say, you only get out what you put in. With that in mind, rest assured my brownies are freshly baked using the best sourced ingredients, never compromising, always trying to achieve the taste and smell that draws out memories from when I was a child in our humble kitchen in that little town. I invite you to try my take on the ultimate gooey chocolatey brownies. Thanks for stopping by!
