Dimulakan dengan Bismillah, disudahi dengan Alhamdulillah 🥰
Thank you .sg for the opportunity to hold a pop up booth in conjunction with your Green Day event yesterday.
Can you spot the empty storage boxes? Yes, this photo was taken during the extended sale hour. We came with 7 filled storage boxes (1 of which is for our display items, carrier bags, stationery etc), and at the end of the day, we could "collapse" and "fold" 3 of those boxes as they were empty! Yes, we cleared 50% of the stock that we brought; a huge deal for a tiny home-based business like ours.
Props to the mosque too, for being a great organiser! This being only the 3rd event which we joined as a vendor, it has set quite the standard!
First: The tables provided came properly covered with tablecloth - and skirting! We didn't have to use our own tablecloths at all. This is quite the contrast from the ones we joined at Singapore Expo (read: most expensive rental) and later on at Paya Lebar. The power points with extension provided were also all neatly and conveniently located (even though we didn't use them)
Second: The venue, while not air-conditioned, was airy and well-ventilated! With so many fans; ceiling ones and wall ones. So well-fanned, in fact, that our standee + banner toppled over a few times when placed at certain angles (which is why it has to be put behind) 😅.
Third: The calm and quiet atmosphere (a personal preference of ours). This being a mosque, of course, there was no loud music or emcee blaring from speakers. I could actually hear myself and others talk without straining my ears. Even with the workers from packing and clearing the recyclable materials contributions from the public right opposite our booth, they did so efficiently, with much focus and without any unnecessary banter.
If you've made it to the end of my "essay", thank you for taking the time and effort! 😄 This makes me think - moving forward, perhaps we should focus on looking out for and joining pop up booths at mosque events instead!
