Today we celebrate World Standards Day, a global reminder of how shared standards help create safer workplaces.

For us, standards are far more than text in a document. They play a vital role in protecting workers and reducing the risk of serious injuries when accidents occur.

When it comes to Flame Retardant and other certified workwear, international standards, such as EN standards, provide essential requirements for the performance and protection of garments.

At Tranemo, we also take an active role in shaping these standards. We are represented on standardisation committees for protective workwear and electrical safety, helping bridge the gap between end users and standardisation bodies. This gives us the opportunity to contribute practical experience and user perspectives to the development of standards.

When workwear needs to perform all day, comfort matters. 👌

Since 2024, around 80 employees at the Municipality of Ílhavo in Portugal have been wearing Tranemo Workwear while maintaining parks, gardens and public spaces.

For employees working outdoors and constantly on the move, freedom of movement, flexibility and comfort are essential. The workers particularly highlights the women’s Stretch models, which make movement easier throughout the working day, as well as jackets that provide warmth and comfort in colder conditions.
