Arbegona Duwancho, one of our absolute favourite coffees at the moment. Amazing complexity - nectarine, hibiscus and orange peel - sweet and creamy.
Tasting great when hot, and if you fancy a cold drink even better when chilled.

We are thrilled that the very first Swerl cupping taking place in Amsterdam will be hosted by our partners Lucas and Daria at .ams , currently also featuring some of our seasonal selection.
ASOP Café by Amplify opened their doors recently but their drive for that little extra does not go unnoticed.
Located inside the already beloved natural wine shop A Sense Of Place (ASOP), they serve fine coffee beans in an unassuming and laid-back manner.

The cupping will take place on Friday, Nov 1st, 2024 from 17:00h until 18:30h and everyone is warmly welcome by the team at .ams .

We are thrilled to present not only one but two Day lots from the Duwancho Washing Station located in Arbergona, Ethiopia:
Yaye Duwancho, a temperature-controlled fermentation and fully washed coffee, tasting like mandarin, ripe mango and jasmine and Arbergona Duwancho, a delicious dry-processed lot tasting like nectarine, hibiscus and orange blossom.

Both of these unique microlots are produced by a tiny group of ten farmers who live close to the washing station. The very small number of contributing growers adding to the clarity and the distinct cup quality of the lots.

Duwancho is a privately-owned washing station that is owned and managed by , a family-owned company founded by Mr Faysel A. Yonis.
Sitting at 2,250m above sea level, it produces exceptional washed and natural lots.
The site was built by Testi in 2021 as a ‘premium’ facility, and selected for its natural advantages – including its high elevation, the surrounding region’s characteristics and access to fresh, clean water.
By choosing sites in areas favoured with great growing conditions and paying premiums for properly harvested fruit, Testi ensures they only receive extremely high quality cherry.

A beautiful black-honey processed coffee. Bright and complex, tasting like lychee, red berries and lime zest with florals throughout.

This is our second year purchasing coffee from the Chacón family ( )and we could not be more impressed by the continuous quality of their coffees.

This special lot is Typica Lima variety. The Typica variety is originally from Ethiopia, however the Typica Lima variety was a selection that was made in the country from the Typica variety at CATIE (Centro Agronómico Tropical de Incestigacion y Enseñanza).

Thanks to this institution, the variety was brought to the Central Valley and distributed to several growers in the area including Las Lajas.

Oscar and Francisca are absolute experts in honey, natural and experimental processing and throughout the years have gained international recognition for their innovative coffee processing techniques.

These past weeks’ production have been flaming, David Gomez Gesha and the dry-process Java by the esteemed Caballeros are flying off the shelves fast, and they will sadly not be around much longer. If you have not yet the chance to try these, we definitely recommend them.
Thankfully, we managed to roast Jose Gregorio Calderon’s Gesha by mistake and it is tasting phenomenal, therefore there will be a new delicious Gesha lot released soon.

Last week we had the pleasure of hosting Gabriel and Jorge from , our producing partners in Brazil.
Besides producing some of the most quality-driven coffee arriving from this origin, they are simply also the nicest people to be around.

Together we had the opportunity to visit our partners at the one-star Michelin restaurant, and share some moments with the co-founder and , head of non-alcoholic beverages.
It was very special to find ourselves under the same roof and experience these vital connections happen.

Knystaforsen is a unique experience in its own: carefully composed dishes cooked outdoors over fire, curated with a strong sense of terroir and seasonality.
Served in beautiful surroundings with heart-warming hospitality.

At the end of the evening, for the guests who wish it, a meticulously produced coffee by Casa Almeida Barreto is brewed at the table by Samuel - attentively and delicately as it should be.

Highly layered and sweet with notes of honeydew melon, ripe peach and grape. Lingering jasmine florals.
This is the second season we purchase the Gesha lot produced by the dedicated David Gomez, and it delivers just as beautifully this year too.

The processing is executed with perfection. David holds his Geisha in cherry for 24 hours. They are then depulped and fermented for 36 hours before being washed and then dried for 22 days.

We source this lot in collaboration with , whose owners also have a farm in a nearby region in Huila, Colombia. This is how Osito got into contact with a group of producers in La Plata that David Gomez belongs to. Osito’s relationship with these producers is one of the longest lasting they have built.

The passion and dedication of these producers, including David Gomez are second to none and this is deeply felt in the coffee produced.
