Qatar Airways Group CEO, Hamad Ali al-Khater, said the airline has recovered 95% of its passenger traffic as it moves into a new phase of growth with a larger fleet and an expanding network.
More than 140,000 passengers now travel through Hamad International Airport each day, while 138 new aircraft are set to join the Qatar Airways fleet over the next five years. Around 150 aircraft are also equipped with Starlink, giving the airline the world’s largest fleet fitted with the technology.
Al-Khater also highlighted a 90% on-time performance despite airspace challenges and said the next generation of Qsuite is expected to be launched in summer next year.
