Martin Berasategui became in charge of his own kitchen at the age of 21, and five years later he received his first Michelin star. In 1993, he opened the Martin Berasategui restaurant, which received a Michelin star the year it opened, one in 1996 and another in November 2001. Martin Berasategui oversees the kitchen at multiple restaurants, and now, he is the only chef with 8 Michelin stars in Portugal.
