Plans are underway to remodel Pine Avenue in Lahore, a growing business and economic corridor, with new modern civic facilities, including an underpass at a key intersection.
The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has submitted a proposal to the Punjab government to construct the underpass at Pine Avenue, connecting New Defence Road and nearby areas. The project is expected to be included in the Annual Development Programme (ADP) for FY2026–27.
According to LDA Director General Tahir Farooq, the proposed underpass will be built at Shanu Baba Chowk near a well-known food chain outlet. The existing roundabout at the intersection will be removed to make way for the new infrastructure.
