🌧️💔 Karachi Under Siege – Monsoon Rains Turn City into a Drowning Ground
Karachi, the heart of Pakistan, is once again paralyzed under the weight of relentless monsoon rains. 🌊
⚠️ Streets have turned into rivers, trapping families and vehicles for hours.
⚠️ Flights disrupted at Karachi Airport, leaving passengers stranded.
⚠️ Public holiday declared as authorities struggle to restore order.
⚠️ At least 7 precious lives lost in rain-related incidents.
This isn’t just about seasonal rain—it’s about how vulnerable our largest city has become in the face of climate change, poor planning, and fragile infrastructure. The people of Karachi are paying the price with their lives, homes, and livelihoods.
But the sorrow doesn’t end here. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a devastating cloudburst flood swept through a mountain village, claiming 20 lives—many of them children. This adds to the already 358 deaths reported in KP since June, making this monsoon one of the deadliest in recent history.
🕊️ From Karachi’s streets to KPK’s mountains, Pakistan is grieving. Yet, amid the heartbreak, we must rise stronger—demanding action, resilience, and preparedness before tragedy becomes our permanent reality.
