5 years.
Believe it or not, Juicetice was an overnight idea.
In 2020, I was into my second year of law school sketching out plans for a milk tea brand. I sat on that idea for months, shared some details with my husband, made notes, and thought it through. Then one day, I scrapped the whole milk tea plan and launched Juicetice instead.
Ed was surprised, “Abi ko ba’g milk tea?”
I thought so too.
But Juicetice felt like a divine intervention for me. The pandemic surrounded us with anxiety, uncertainty, and fear over the safety of what we were consuming. Juicetice stood for something more than just healthy cold-pressed juice. It stood for clean, honest ingredients. For peace of mind. For something people could trust.
But launching a brand while juggling law school and a day job? It was brutal. My classes would end at 9pm. I’d then wash and prep ingredients until midnight, then wake at 3-4am to start producing the day's batch, just in time to catch the 9am delivery and before clocking in for work. I didn't have assistants yet that time.
Behind all the brand's aesthetics was an exhausted law student / mom of two who was struggling to put it together on most days. I still remember one night, right after Criminal Procedure class, I was crying while peeling pineapples because my small hands could barely keep up, anxious that I had a lot of cases yet to read. Exhaustion hit, and I walked to the CR and continued to cry on the floor.
Now, five years later, I still randomly think about that night. And every time I do, I still feel it all.
Juicetice may have started as a spontaneous pivot, but it became a 5-year journey of grit, purpose, and choosing to show up even when it was almost impossible to keep up.
Building a brand goes beyond designing a logo, curating products, or launching a page. It's about creating a bridge between your purpose and the people it’s meant to serve. It is a relationship, a labor of love. And I think Juicetice has lived and breathed on its own.
Thank you for all the love and support since day one. We'll be taking a break for now but we'll definitely see you again soon! 💚
