𝗧𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗼 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸𝘀 𝗔𝗴𝘂𝘀𝗮𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝗦𝘂𝗿 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗰𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁

Taganito Mining Corp. - TMC has committed to fund a P9.85-million provincial greening project in Agusan del Sur, supporting forest restoration and sustainable coffee production through the development of 50 hectares under the initiative.

The project complements the government's National Greening Program by restoring forest areas while promoting sustainable livelihoods. TMC said the initiative reflects its continuing commitment to collaborative environmental efforts through forest rehabilitation and partnerships with government and local communities.

SAN FRANCISCO, Agusan del Sur – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), through the RAPID Growth Project – Agusan del Sur, gathers 𝟔𝟔 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒕𝒉 𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒊𝒑𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒔 from across the province for the 𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒏 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒋𝒆𝒄𝒕 𝑫𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒈𝒏 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑼𝑷𝑮𝑹𝑨𝑫𝑬 𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒕𝒉 𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒎𝒑𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 (𝑪𝒂𝒔𝒄𝒂𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑺𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏) on July 23–24, 2026 at Del's Hotel, Grills, and Restaurants, Karaus, San Francisco, Agusan del Sur.

Representing the cacao, coffee, coconut, and calamansi value chains, the participants are enhancing their capabilities in project design while exploring emerging tools and approaches, including collaborating with AI technology, geotagging, and value chain appreciation and opportunities. These learning sessions are designed to empower young leaders to develop innovative, data-driven, and market-responsive initiatives that contribute to sustainable agricultural and enterprise development in their communities.

Through this activity, the RAPID Growth Project continues to invest in the next generation of agri-champions, equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and innovation mindset needed to lead inclusive and resilient growth in Agusan del Sur.

600K SCHOLARS 🎓

TESDA is set to upskill more than 600,000 scholars in 2026 through a historic ₱19-billion scholarship budget, the largest allocation in the agency’s history.

According to TESDA Director General Secretary Kiko Benitez, the agency targets to enroll around 600,000 to 650,000 learners in 2026, focusing on high-employability sectors.

The funding aims to help address employability gaps, especially among Senior High School graduates, by giving learners access to technical-vocational training and skills certification.

TESDA said it has already assessed and certified 190,000 Senior High School students with National Certificates, including NC II and NC III, to help validate their skills for employers.

The agency will also support micro-credentials, with ₱500 million allocated to help near-hires and prepare workers for technological
disruption, including the impact of artificial intelligence on jobs.

TESDA is also expanding Enterprise-Based Education and Training programs, targeting almost 100,000 EBET learners in 2026.
Aside from workforce training, the budget includes support for 18,000 child development workers, with 9,000 already undergoing training and 9,000 more to be trained as part of efforts connected to anti-stunting measures.

For students and workers, the 2026 TESDA budget shows that skills training is becoming a bigger part of the country’s education-to-employment pathway.

Today’s Activity: Seedling planting with our awesome OJTs! 🧑‍🌾
☀️ They spent the day out in the field establishing our new organic vegetable rows. From careful sorting in the tray to planting them firmly in the soil, teamwork made the dream work today. Stay tuned for a fresh harvest in a few months!

Soil Sampling Activity

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Shaira Salpocial for leading the soil sampling activity conducted at FRANCIS BERACHAH INTEGRATED FARM.

We also sincerely thank the Provincial Research, Development and Innovation Office (PRDIO), the Provincial Government of Agusan del Sur, Team Eddiebong, and the Municipal Agriculture Office of Esperanza for spearheading and supporting programs that greatly benefit our farmers and strengthen the agricultural sector in our province.

Our appreciation also goes to the Provincial Agriculture Office personnel and the CSU OJT studentsfor their active participation and commitment to learning and promoting sustainable agriculture.

Together, we continue to promote innovation, healthy soils, and sustainable coffee farming for a better future.
