LOREBERT "MARALITA" COMISION
A visual artist whose works does not recede from the realities that pelt the vulnerable and the disadvantaged. His crouched self-effacing figures of labourers, farmer, and the locals or the common people (a trademark of his), convey the systematic entrapment imposed on them by Philippine society. Coming from Northern Samar himself, this steady propensity reveals a deep and personal understanding of the dynamics lived by this particular class in the daily. His works draw his viewers to an infinitesimal moment of discomfort that also swiftly fades when they turn away-an act even the kindest might commit.
Studied Tradigital Fine Arts, Major in Visual Communication and Design at Adventist University of the Philippines. He was the 2017 Vision Petron Grand Prize Winner in Acrylic/Oil Painting Category, 2018 51st Shell NSAC First Prize Winner in Sculpture Category and 2018 Vision Petron Grand Prize Winner in Photography Category. He joined a lot of art shows from different prominent galleries and exhibits.
