📢 Menu Update: ​A Note from Our Kitchen to Yours 🤍

​At Chibi Bakehaus, we believe in being as honest with our customers as we are with our ingredients.

​The world of baking looks very different today than it did when we started in 2024. Long before the recent global oil crisis began driving up logistics and utility costs, the baking industry was already navigating a historic cocoa crisis that fundamentally altered the cost of essential ingredients.

​To give you an idea of the shift: a 2.5kg bag of Callebaut Belgian Chocolate that cost around ₱2,000–₱2,400 sits at ₱3,700–₱4,600 today, depending on the variety. The good quality cocoa powder that was once ₱250/kg has surged toward ₱1,000+ per kilo. This is the quiet struggle many bakers are facing behind the scenes right now.

​But the reality of the current market doesn't stop at chocolate. We also have to account for other baking essentials like flour, sugar, eggs, butter and oil. The ripple effect of the oil crisis has surged the costs of fuel for logistics, the LPG/electricity for our ovens, the raw materials we use and the very packaging that completes your experience.

​We had a choice to make:
▪︎ ​Change our recipes to save money.
▪︎ ​Adjust our prices to save our quality.

​For us, the choice was clear. We are choosing to stay true to the original, premium recipes that define who we are. We refuse to give you a "budget" version of the cakes and pastries you’ve come to love. You deserve the same real butter, the same premium Belgian chocolate and the same honest, rich flavors that make your celebrations special.

We aren't taking any shortcuts; we are simply adjusting to the current global reality. ​To ensure we never have to compromise on the quality you love, we will be updating our menu pricing effective 🗓 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟮❟ 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲.
