The only authentic Indian cuisine in the City of Golden Friendship! Food has been our friend for comfort, and nothing screams comfort food like Indian Cuisine.

Indian food has been one of the best and underrated flavors of asia, and though mostly intimidating because of its heat and use of spices, it shouldnt be undermined for what it is. Heat is what gives its flavor, and with India being the last living civilization still carrying hidden flavors and stories from the past, there's just more to uncover each and every day. KhanaSutra offers a wide range of items in the menu that stems in different regions of India, and we aim to introduce those underrated flavors with "India in a bowl" or jokingly with our "bumbai bowls". You could have an adventure with 27 different herbs and spices embedded with our Masala Keema's soul ; Topped with minced onions, chilies, herbs and fresh cilantro, it's surely strong enough to keep you going in this type of weather and this life. We're also bringing the humble Tuna and milkfish up the ranks of the foodchain with some fiery spices. Don't let this dish fool you though, our tuna sisig might look simple and light, but it packs enough of a punch to keep your palate filled with heat and explosive flavors. You could also try our butter chicken , hailing in from the northwestern region in India, this dish was an accidental discovery after meeting a customer's demand to have a Chicken dish with a thick gravy, buttery like sauce.With three types of butter and dairy used in this dish, it's been in our top 3 since 2017 and its thick and luscious sauce is still touching people's hearts today. its thick, packed with flavors and always there to pick you up.

KhanaSutra Indian Cuisine has been named one of the country’s 5-Star Culinary Icons, receiving Silver under the Indian Icon category!

Out of four biryanis presented, our spicy stuff made it through. 🔥

But what makes this moment even more special is having our mother there to witness it all. Growing up with her cookings and how her hands gracefully taught us how Indian food is done, layering, heat and tempering of the spices. The way you cook for yourself, for the family reflects on the heat and who you've always been. This is for you, Ma.

From a little popup in 2017 to the restaurant we have today, the journey of Khana has never been easy. There were challenges, setbacks, changes, and plenty of moments where we simply had to figure things out and keep moving.

Then came the Grab 5 Eats Awards, taking our food from Cagayan de Oro all the way to Manila.

And seeing Khana on that trophy is a moment we'll never forget.

But this isn't just ours.

Every order, visit, recommendation, review, and person who shared Khana with someone else helped make this possible.

This trophy may have our name on it, but the journey belongs to all of us.

Mindanao and CDO! This is for you!

Just a few days ago, on August 18. We were chosen by GRABFOOD and Spot.ph in representing CDO and Mindanao for the Country's biggest cook off compete to find out which dishes are the standouts across different cuisines in different cateqories.

Dishes are from restaurants and food establishments that offer specialties from different geographic groupings: Italian, Indian, Japanese, Chinese, and more from all over the Philippines were sent for this day and asked to cook and share their flavors. Despite the weather, and the situation in Manila, we still pushed through and it also made us realize that:

Food has never really stayed in one place.

Long before borders looked the way they do today, people were moving across islands, seas and trading routes, carrying ingredients, techniques and stories with them.

Spices travelled from South Asia into Southeast Asia. Austronesian peoples carried food traditions across the seas. And here in Mindanao, these influences met, changed and became something of their own.

That history and the humble connection of spices is part of what inspires us at Khana

For the Taste Off, we’re bringing a dish from Cagayan de Oro to Manila, not simply as Indian food, but as a reflection of how cultures have always connected through what we eat.

Because sometimes, the story of a place is sitting right there on the plate. And we would not have gotten here without all of your support.
