Community and connection don’t happen overnight.

I’ve been reflecting on a BWN networking lunch I attended in April and the importance of community and connection.

Some of the women I first met at these events three or four years ago are now friends, collaborators, cheerleaders, and trusted sounding boards. That didn’t happen from one conversation or one coffee catch up. It happened through time, consistency, shared stories, and genuine connection.

Networking can sometimes feel transactional, but at its best, it’s about building relationships. The kind that grow slowly and become meaningful in ways you can’t always predict.

Grateful for spaces like this that bring women together, create room for honest conversations, and remind us that community is one of the most valuable things we can invest in.

The Speaker Series 2026 later this month feels like a powerful next step. This year’s theme, Evolving Boldly, will explore what it means to grow with confidence, lead with purpose, and embrace change.

Looking forward to being part of the event on 25 June.
