We would like to wish the Greytown Rugby Club all the best for their 150th Jubilee which kicks 🏉 off today & throughout the long weekend! This is an amazing milestone & we congratulate them on their legacy & resilience!
Greytown is a great club that brings the community together & encourages young ones to get out and participate.
On a personal note, the Club has included Master O (Tom) into the Support Team running waters for the Senior As for the past few years. It’s a place where he feels a sense of belonging & inclusion and we are so grateful for this. ❤️
He had to stop playing rugby for Greytown after brain surgery for his epilepsy. He is pictured second from the left in the first pic. This was the mighty Under 9s back in 2013 (I think)!
There’s plenty of Greytown families that have been associated with the club for many years in this team, such as the Lyfords (Sam & Cam) & Ammunson’s (Matai) and Toby Crosby (Tom’s longtime best mate) who is now playing for Penrith Panthers over the Ditch!
Second pic is Mr O in his “Number Ones” looking studly leaning on Mrs O’s Mini!!!! He played Under 21s, Thirds & Seniors for Greytown. 🏉 These were great times when Saturdays were based around rugby, the Clubrooms and then pub crawling from the “Top Pub”, to the “Middle Pub” & the “Bottom”! 😜 Only the Top Pub remains in operation. Good times!
It is also our absolute pleasure to have sponsored the Junior Player of the Day through our “little legend” program for many years. 👊🏻 It is so cool to see the kids come in with their milkshake voucher with huge smiles & feeling proud of themselves. Playing a team sport teaches kids so many life skills like resilience, application, sportsmanship & playing as a team!
Congratulations Greytown Rugby Club 150th Jubilee!!!
There’s only one more thing to say…
“Up the G”!! ❤️💛🖤🏉
