We will have eftpos available this time We will also accept bank transfers on the day. Cash will accepted if its the correct amount

Rain or shine we will be at at The Fireplace Dunedin, Heat - Spa's and BBQ's this Saturday from 11-3 we are fundraising to help with costs of future competition/travel costs. And will be serving up freshly smoked brisket, ribs and smash burgs come on down and grab some.

Alright so what a weekend.

Organizing/promoting and competing in a dunedins first nzba bbq comp what a rush. Don't think I stood still all day

Huge thanks to all the teams that traveled and lent gear it was a huge help i appreciate you all.

So the event its self was a huge success shame vendors sold out a bit to fast but hey when you have 4x the people come through than you expect can ya blame them for running out?

10000 people came down to check out the event!

Absolutly blew our minds how much everyone seemed to enjoy there day a Forsyth Barr Stadium
And we cant wait to do it again next year

Huge congrats to Troy Bilbrough for taking G.C
And congrats Rum and Que for R.G.C

Onto my comp results

Not the best but not the worst results considering
Everything i had going on for the day was in my site for mayb 2 hours the whole day.

Chicken 13th
Pork ribs 10th
Pork 13th
Brisket 10th equal

With a 13th overall

I tried all new combos of rubs and sauces for this comp so pretty happy with a couple to 10 finishes it there

Epic as day at Deep South BBQ Comp, Car show and market we prometed this event and competed and managed 10th brisket and 10th ribs which we couldn't be happier with.

Tried something different today. Southern Stations Wagyu brisket rubbed with kosmos killer hot honey and Rum and Que bulldust and then cooked in the Pit Barrel NZ pbx at 300f fat side down till it hit 140f then flipped it over for half hour to get some bark going and then back to fat side down untill it hit the stall at about 165f... then booted it in foil with tallow instead steady of wrapping and cooked till.probe tender (212f) and wrapped for the rest 90 mins later sliced it up and damn it did not dissapoint
