Baby Dilmah turns 9 this year, he may not be such a baby anymore, but he’ll always be Baby Dilmah to us.

Once an orphaned calf in need of care, Baby Dilmah was looked after at the Elephant Transit Home with the support of Dilmah and the Department of Wildlife Conservation. Today, he is no longer in our care - he is exactly where he belongs: roaming free in the wild and living the life every elephant deserves.

His journey reminds us that conservation is not just about rescuing wildlife, but about giving them the opportunity to return to their natural home safely. There are many more orphaned elephants like Baby Dilmah with increasing human-elephant conflict leaving more calves orphaned each year, and were main committed to supporting their second chance at life. Your cup of Dilmah helps support elephant conservation by sponsoring the care of orphaned baby elephants.

But today is all about celebrating him. Here's to another year of freedom, wild adventures, and many more birthdays in the forests he now calls home. Happy Birthday, Baby Dilmah! 🐘🌿
