Elephants teach us what leadership, empathy and community look like.

On World Elephant Day we celebrate the progress made and reaffirm our long-term commitment to their protection. Since 2009 - from the Elephant Knowledge Walk at Uda Walawe to continued collaboration with the Department of Wildlife and conservation experts - Dilmah will keep working for coexistence that benefits both people and wildlife.

Does a cup of tea care - About the land it comes from? The people who make it? The forests, gardens and wild places that surround it?

Ours does.

At Dilmah, every cup carries a commitment to people, nature and a kinder way of doing business - from single-origin Ceylon tea grown at source, to the communities and conservation efforts it helps support.

Who knew a cup of tea could do so much good?

Making the World a Better Tea.

Join Dilmah live this Wednesday - World Elephant Day for an inside look at the Elephant Transit Home plus an exciting announcement 🐘
🗓 12 August 🕔 5:00pm NZT

🐘 Catch us live this World Elephant Day for a BIG reveal!

On 12 August at 10:30 a.m. Sri Lanka Standard Time (UTC+5:30)

We'll take you to one of Sri Lanka's greatest elephant conservation success stories – the Elephant Transit Home in Udawalawe.

More than a refuge for rescued elephant calves, the Elephant Transit Home (ETH) is a place of hope, where orphaned elephants are rehabilitated, cared for, and ultimately prepared for life back in the wild through its remarkable rewilding programme.

Over the years, Dilmah together with the Department of Wildlife, through the ETH, has played an important role in giving orphaned elephants a second chance, while continuing to provide care for calves that still have their own journeys ahead of them.

And this World Elephant Day, there's even more to look forward to... We are excited to celebrate this extraordinary work, share stories from the field, and reveal some exciting news you won't want to miss.

Your gut does a lot more than you think. It plays a key role in digestion, immunity, mood regulation, and even energy levels throughout the day.

Teas like green, black, and oolong are rich in polyphenols that act as prebiotics, helping to feed beneficial gut bacteria and support a balanced microbiome. Herbal infusions such as ginger and peppermint are also known to ease bloating and support smoother digestion after meals.

A simple cup of tea can become a daily ritual that supports wellbeing from the inside out. What’s your go-to tea for a happier gut?
