Food Studio Food Studio wishes to change todays food system to a more sustainable network in the near future.

Food Studio wishes to change todays food system to a more sustainable network in the near future. 4 times a year, we organise a seasonal workshop and dinner in the natural surroundings of Oslo called Get Away. Other activities range from Get Away collaborations with other likeminded individuals and projects all over the world, to seminars and field trips for larger organisations in Norway to help

them make a change. We believe that learning comes easy with first hand experience. We therefore invite you to pack your backpack and join us for a seasonal workshop and dinner where you are a part of harvesting, foraging and making dinner. We collaborate closely with knowledgeable people ranging from foragers to farmers to challenge the daily way we think about and work with food, and to open up for new ideas and solutions for future food.

As a part of our theme "Community as Medicine" we wanted to share this video. In this conversation with Linda Jolly, matriarch of vegetable gardening, we look back at the roots of organic gardening, urban agriculture, market gardening which all link to her mentor Alan Chadwick. Chadwick was the gardener at UC Santa Cruz in the 1960s where he inspired a generation of young students to practice organic gardening rooted in eco-philosophy and the art of becoming one with your ecology.

Kurs utskifting av bunnsyll på laftekasse

Vi er i ferd med å restaurere en gammel husmannsplass i Telemark og vil invitere til en serie kurs knyttet til denne prosessen; restaurering av gamle vinduer, arbeid med naturmaling, tørrmuring, bygging fra egen skog og interiør design.

Første kurs er å skifte ut de gamle tømmerstokkene på eldhuset, den eldste bygningen fra 1770. Kurset ledes av Hans Petter Musum.

It´s been a long break so it feels really good to be back offering ways to gather and deepen our understanding of food. This was the first gathering of what we plan to do once a month. So hope to see you there over the new years.

Hvis du ønsker å lese vårt siste nyhetsbrev må du gå inn gjennom lenken under. I en spesiell tid hvor vi fortsatt har veldig begrenset mulighet til å jobbe i den formen vi liker best, nemlig "å inspirere ved å samles rundt et måltid". Har vi gått til grepet å kutte alle kostnader vi kan. Dette innebærer også månedlig avgift til MailChimp for de 5000 vi tidligere hadde som abonnementer.

Vi håper likevel at de som ønsker å følge vår reise også gjennom denne rare tida finner veien til oss og vi jobber med å finne løsninger som er økonomisk bærekraftige på sikt. Hvis noen har tips og råd på denne fronten er vi veldig åpne for innspill.
